“Walking the Quad” 2018 Bishop Elliot Lectures

“Walking the Quad” 2018 Bishop Elliot Lectures

The Fall 2018 Series will feature the Rt. Rev. David Reed exploring the topic “Walking the Quad: Opening Your Life to the Call of God and the Cries of His People”

The Episcopal Church recently reaffirmed our self-understanding as underlined in the Chicago-Lambeth Quadrilateral (“the Quad”), grounded in the Scriptures, Creeds, Sacraments, and Historic Episcopate (see the Book of Common Prayer pages 876 – 878 for full text). With that identity, how then shall we live as Church (the Call of God) in the World (Cries of the People)?

Friday evening will start with dinner followed by Bp. Reed’s first address, and end with a Compline service. Saturday begins with Morning Prayer, features two more addresses, and ends with Noonday Prayers.

Event is $35 for non-members and free (pre-paid) for Bishop Elliott Society members. For more information, call (361) 739-5808 or email Bpelliottsociety@aol.com.
