Writings that Resonate
Wednesdays during Lent, 5:30pm
How do we ‘keep’ Lent at St. Paul’s? Traditionally Lent has been observed by individuals who ‘give up’ something which may in fact be superfluous to their lives (chocolate?), or by taking on a discipline of prayer or something else associated with traditional spirituality. All good. This year, as last, we at St. Paul’s will observe Lent in each other’s company, sharing a simple meal and aspects of our own faith and musings.
- 6:30 PM we begin with Soup and Bread (vegetarian available) at 6:30 PM.
- 7:00 PM we bring out our own Writings that Resonate – snippets or more from poetry, cartoons, the Bible, novels, the newspaper – which have moved us to want to discuss the issues they raise in light of our faith in our Lord Jesus. Come prepared!
- 7:45-8:00 we close with Compline and head home for an early evening.
This is a Family Affair. Older children will participate with the adults. Next younger folk are free to be in the play center in the parish hall.
