Soli Deo Gloria Music Guild

The Soli Deo Gloria Guild was formed to support the Music Program at St. Paul’s through event publicity and solicitation of financial support from members and friends of St. Paul’s and the public at large through an annual membership drive. Membership in Soli Deo Gloria may be at the following support levels:

The Tallis Circle: $1.00 – $99.00
The Byrd Circle: $100.00 – $249.00
The Britten Circle: $250.00 – $499.00
The Mozart Circle: $500.00 – $999.00
The Bach Circle: $1,000.00 and above

Our active season extends from September through May every year. It consists of Choral Masses within the context of our Sunday 10:30 AM Eucharist, Choral Evensongs at 4:00 PM Sunday afternoons, and numerous other musical events throughout the year. Be sure to check the Music page on St. Paul’s website for advance notice of dates and times for all events. Although the Parish Choir has no full rehearsals during June-August, you can still hear the best in traditional Anglican choral music every Sunday during the Summer months.

Soli Deo Gloria, Latin for “To God Alone Be Glory”, was the autograph Johann Sebastian Bach placed in abbreviated form on every piece of music he composed. We chose those glorious words to be the name of our guild because they perfectly describe the goal and purpose of all of the music we offer.
