Eucharist & Prayer Vigil for Peace and Reconciliation
The Rev. Carl Wright, rector of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Pasadena, Maryland, was elected Sept. 20 to be the Episcopal Church’s Bishop Suffragan for Armed Services and Federal Ministries. Bishop Elect Wright’s consecration will take place at the Washington National Cathedral on February 11, at 11:00am, EST. Here at St. Paul’s, we will join in a live stream of the Bishop’s Service from the National Cathedral.
Episcopal Peace Fellowship will continue the tradition of joining with the Office of Federal Ministries to hold a Eucharist and Prayer Vigil of Peace and Reconciliation the day before the consecration. The Eucharist will take place at Noon EST on Friday, February 10, in the National Cathedral with the vigil beginning immediately after the service in the War Memorial Chapel and continuing until the beginning of the consecration service on the 11th.
As a Peace Loving Parish, St. Paul’s Episcopal San Antonio will host a Eucharist and Prayer Vigil for peace and reconciliation from afar following the service and every half hour thereafter until the consecration. PLEASE
sign up for a vigil watch (1/2 hour slots), here
. We want every hour covered. We want to have someone physically at the vigil for each half hour Friday until 9pm, then we’ll continue in individual parishioners homes, and resume at 9:00am at St. Paul’s until we join the live stream of the service from the National Cathedral.
